Clearing The Way For Future Community Center

Another Camp Louis Ernst milestone was passed today. The former Council Service Center pad and foundation are relegated to the history books as we prepare that site for what we hope will be the home of a new community center. On the equipment today was Keith Baker and volunteer 2LT Will Redding. The equipment operators were assisted by Gary Lamb and Gene Baker. The old concrete pieces are being used to correct some of our erosion issues nearby. The service center was originally built by Hoosier Hills Council board member Virgil Taylor from Columbus in 1961 and was used by Hoosier Hills Council until after the Council merger in the 1970's.
